For those of you who didn't how did you stick to it with all the temptation? any advice? i'm on day 4 and going out tonight to a party. i am gearing myself up saying I will not drink i will not drink i will not drink which is what i think i would cheat w more than food. No I'm not an alcoholic but in party settings I do like to have a few drinks to loosen up and enjoy myself. But I will not. I have come too far(yes 3 full days is far to me lol) and i don't want to give in just to have to start all over again tomorrow when i could just be disciplined tonight and be proud of myself tomorrow. If i have a nice filling dinner before do you think it would help the urge? Being that my tummy would be full? What do you guys think? Advise and support please. |
Call the host/hostess and ask what's on the menu---just say you're cutting back on added sugars and refined grains and trying to eat more whole, minimally processed foods. IF the menu doesn't sound too Atkins friendly, eat a full meal before going. If the menu has some Atkins foods, still eat a meal before going. Then you can nibble on the Atkins foods during the party, if you need to.
