Re: Hair Loss ( Its A Reality) | | hair loss can happen due to many reasons. Let me start with the most common cause of hair loss in women: 1. any stress ( physical/mental). Usually the stress precedes hair loss by a period of 3 -4 months, so try to remember if you were under stress a couple of months ago ( anything like fever, child birth, severe dieting, and so on).
2. Iron deficieny anemia: this is also very common among females. Ferritin (iron stores in the body) can drop down to very low levels and cause hair loss. If this is the case, you have to take iron supplements for at least 3 months to see results.(Besides your Multivitamin)
3. other organic causes like underactive thyroid/ over active thyroid.
I would recommend you get your ferritin levels and thyroid function tests measured. If they turn out to be normal, then continue taking your supplements ( omega 3 fish oil helps too) and make sure you are getting good amount of proteins in your diet daily . It usually takes 3 months to see an improvement in your hair.
I hope that this was helpful. |
