I have my surgical boot off now and the foot is elevated in a couple of pillows. Its feeling pretty good today! At the risk being shot by my DH and my doctor, I could *almost* try and walk on it ! (JUST KIDDING) .. but the truth is, I've come a long ways in 3+ weeks .. the doctor said he's amazed at how well the foot is coming along, the swelling is down and the incision is looking good. Getting the stitches out was MURDER, but now that they're gone, its feeling good. I can actually put weight on it for a short time ... i.e. to weigh myself ...

Oh and speaking of weight, I've lost 4 pounds since surgery .. and here I was worried I would gain from all this lying around ... no worries though, I'll be gaining a few back when I start chowing down the protein/fat for marathon training !

I hope to start "walking" daily on October 4 if not sooner (really hoping for SOONER!) At least 1-2 miles a day.

Running target date will be October 26th.....then its Hello Hal Higdon Marathon Training !!!!
