It is good you had blood panel done before starting Atkin for comparison. 3 months would be better for the next test but six weeks should show a lowering of triglycerides and some lowering of A1c .
It would be good to have a test meter. It would show how you are doing on fasting glucose day by day.
I have type 2 bad. However Atkin has made my blood panel become normal. Cholesterol - 132, triglycerides - 73, A1c - 5.8.
Atkin has been great but don't expect too much. In my case I am still very much a diabetic. If I wander off of the Atkin induction my fasting glucose immediately starts to creep up over 100. Even with a significant weight loss I am still a diabetic.Thanks to Atkin I do not need to take meds.
