I did a .8 mile walk tonight in a light rain. The pain was pretty bad, but I made it. Oh and I also stood on my tip toes today for the first time in years. AND I did 30 seconds worth of PLANK exercise (you know, the one where you put your weight on your elbows and toes and hold that position).... its a killer for the abs. I've been really lifting heavy weights and focusing on core work during this month without running. I can really tell the difference in my upper body strength. Hoping that a stronger core will really help when I start running again.
