I do 3-4 days cardio (usually 4 miles on the treadmill, half hour on the stairmaster, half hour elliptical/recumbant bike etc, usually 1.5 -2 hrs cardio)
3 days weight training alternating target areas.
My schedule looks like this:
Monday: strength training - upper body
Tuesday: cardio
Wednesday: strength training - lower body & abs
Thursday: cardio
Friday: strength training - upper body
Saturday: cardio
Sunday: cardio
And then the following Monday I would switch to strength training lower body.
