Default Re: Cool Running for Week of September 22nd

OMG Betty you are my hero! You can walk 2.6 miles on a post surgery foot in 50 minutes, I ran a 5k in 38 minutes last weekend, that should put your speed into perspective! You'd walk circles around me!

That said, the only runs i do are usually charity ones, that way the only person i'm trying to beat is myself..my short little legs don't allow me to run very fast..but i figure as least I'm running!

I haven't been here in a while...so glad to see you back betty!

This week so far I've done 1.5 miles yesterday, last week ran my fourth 5k Terry Fox Run in 38 mins, but was really out of training, that i was crippled with muscle pain for 4 days.

didn't help that i completely redecorated my stepdaughters bedroom non stop from friday to race day sunday, including painting and installing a whole floor myself (7 hours) bent over. i have to say it was a silly move on my part, and I know better next year than to run it without training properly...

on the bright side I raised $230 for the Terry Fox Foundation for cancer research which is a record for me!

I'm going to commit to get back to my running (I've been a slacker) and posting here to keep me honest!

and Rich, I agree with Betty, that was an awesome and very inspirational post!
