Read the ingredients to make sure the product is acceptable for your phase of Atkins. For example, if the product contains almonds, it isn't acceptable for Induction phase no matter what the carb count is.

You should also google "hidden carb calculator" and use that to determine if a product has any undisclosed carbs. Sounds weird, but just bring a small pad of paper and a pen when you shop, that way you can jot down the nutritional info.
