Default ADA Conspiracy theory

So, I am a type 2 diabetic.
As such, I read stuff all over the web about it.

So many people quote the ADA as gospel.

So, I challenge them:
Do you really think that a big organization like the ADA with millions and millions of dollars flowing through them are interested in actually defeating diabetes?
If it was cured, they would all be out of jobs.
same for all these orgnizations (heart, lung, cancer, etc).

I mean really think about it. If someone has an intolerance to peanuts, they should avoid peanuts. If someone has an intolerance to gluten, they should avoid gluten. If someone is intolerant to sugar, shouldn't they avoid sugar?
Yet the ADA diet, which I have in writing in fromt of me, specifies a diet of 3 meals a day. Each meal (for men) should have 4-5 servings of carb per meal. Each serving is approx 15 grams. 60-75 grams per meal!!! 3 times a day!! They suggest 3-4 servings for women!

And then it says "One of the best ways to control your blood sugar is to focus on your carb servings for each meal". Wow, really....

With the sample menus, my blood sugar would be all over the place and I would always be hungry. I know this from experience. When I was diagnosed, my blood sugar was 503.

People need to really think about what the "experts" are pushing. Question everything. Follow the money. I'm sure the experts are funded by the drug companies. When you read about results of a study, be sure to see who paid for it, that's where you can find the bias.

As for me, I'm livin' la vida low carb.
