Things that helped me back in July when I started -
Drink lots of water - at least 64 ounces a day
Join some of the challenges on the board
Read the 2002 version of the book
Veggies from the acceptable list are very important
Log your food (fitday is good) - helps you see if you are meeting your Fat/Protein/Carbs - 65%/30%/5%
