Sombersusie - Wife of one of the Admin team | | Many thanks to Sombersusie for her article - What can I say about being married to my Atkins partner other than it's been great . When Kent (183 down - 5 to go!) started Atkins a couple years ago, I was supportive of him. After all, I too could have stood to lose a few pounds. I even started with him after a couple of months and did lose some weight. Unfortunately, after a few months I went off plan again. Kent, somewhat disappointed in me, continued on his way to lose over 200lbs! While he was looking fabulous, i was just looking flabby...lol.
Anyway I came to my senses and started up again at the beginning of this year. It really wasn't hard to do since every meal we ate at night time was atkins friendly. Kent is a wonderfull cook and he just keeps getting better as time goes on. The "hardest" part for me was just to control what i ate for the rest of the day, such as bringing my own food to work instead of eating the carb laden food the daycare serves. And so I have lost over 40lbs since January and i couldn't feel much better!

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!! I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again! |
