| I was able to run outside a few times this past week. I'm not a big fan of the treadmill, so that was great. Yesterday it snowed though, so I was back on the rat wheel. I started with the C25K too. Now I run something like 2 miles 4x a week and 3 miles 1x a week. I think I will increase the distance this spring -- running outside is way more entertaining than staring at the treadmill display for half an hour.

| I sometimes do the threadmill - I can play around with those numbers and have fun with it for a bit but it gets boring quite fast to me too. I really enjoy outside running and trails in particular. I have been running on an inside track a bit this winter - I always think I am a hamster when I do that. It snowed in Bremen? Should it not be spring on the continent?

| It's nice to hear that you're both getting in the miles! The weather's warming up here in Idaho, too. I'm in the thinking process of doing another round of C25k, but I've been getting a lot walking with a few minutes of jogging during my walks to see how my knees and shins are doing after such a long hiatus from jogging. There's a 5k over Mother's Day weekend that I want to do, and will most likely do walking rather than jogging. But I need the stamina and endurance to just do the 3 miles.

| I run in all 4 seasons .. one of the luxuries of living in the sunbelt! My goal is 30-35 miles a week every week this year. Four running days per week, long run on Saturday. Long-term goal is my third marathon next February. Tom, I meet your 100k challenge in about 2 weeks. Betty

| I started today. Some snow has melted and some sidewalks are usable for running. (I did run into a person on skis - that was a bit funny) I think a 100 K challenge sounds like fun.

Did you knock them down when you ran into them, Liv, or were they out enjoying the change in weather, too? I jogged today...although it was a short jog back home after I chickened out to start the first week of C25K today. I couldn't catch my breath with the wind blowing. I had visions that I looked like Steve Martin trying to walk in a wind storm. I'm hoping the weather will cooperate tomorrow...I want to get a jump start on this 5k training before I chicken out to do the Mother's day weekend 5k.

| We have a funny weather here in Bremen because we are very close to the North Sea. In March we can have nice, sunny weather one day and then massive snowfall the next. It was warm and sunny today, so I ran my 2 miles outside. However, I should remember not to go running alone at night -- there are people doing very dubious... umm... things... in the park after sunset.
