Arrow BLT DIp!

I just made this today and spread it on celery.. I'm sure its good with just about anything.

Makes 8 servings.

1 lb bacon, cooked & crumbled
1 small tomato, diced
1 cup mayo
1 cup sour cream
1 1/2 green onion (optional)
Dash of garlic(optional)
1 cup of shredded american or colby cheese (optional)

Mix all ingredients into a medium bowl, or blender. Refrigerate and serve with
veggie of choice. (I recommend celery or cucmbers)

it is so good. I made it this morning, the only thing i changed was the cheese cause i did not have any american or colby. I used monterey jack and it was really good. Thanks for the great idea!

oh that sounds YUMMY!

Instead of celery (not my favorite) I think Ill dip cheese "crackers" into it. (make lil piles of shredded cheese on microwave safe plate and nuke away. they get crunchy crispy and are yummy!)

Served over hot veggies I bet it would be good too- steamed cauliflower or broccoli would be good!

smear some on a lettuce wrap with meat.

I need to make this soon! LOL

Oh wow thanks for the cheese "crackers" suggestion! I know next time I make it, it will be much more enjoyable with cheese than celery.

you could bake this with some veggies and shredded meat and have a nice goey casserole.

dipping veggies from Atkins induction list can be
radishes, jicama. pepper strips, turnips (use small young ones to avoid strong taste),cucumber slices, bamboo shoots, raw summer or zuchinni squash slices
broccoli or cauliflower

use your imagination. if you are using cheese in the dip I'd caution you about using cheese chips as you have a limit of 4 ounces of cheese a day.

As I was driving home I was thinking about this... (I told ya I needed to make it soon LOL)... stuffed mushrooms topped with lil dollops of this. I bet it would be good with crab or sausage stuffed shrooms. all hot and gooey.....

Default Re: BLT DIp!

i made some roasted chicken whole legs the other day and had some leftover yesterday so i nuked it up. And it was a bit dry so i broke out the BLT dip and just dipped it in that. It was not bad at all! Not such a creative idea, but it worked for me!

I love BLT dip! Before I started this diet, I could not eat it because of the fat content. I know I cannot eat much now due to the sour cream, but how much would be okay for induction. Also, has anyone tried dipping pork skins in it? I'm not sure how that would taste.
