Default Oh dear I really need some support.

I fell off really bad. All the weight I lost has gone back on. I'm so upset and disappointed in myself.

All the energy I had has dissolved- I feel lethargic again- and I know I have to get through those two or three awful days again and I'm feeling so down about it.

This is the second time I've fallen off.

The first time I did the induction, I lost about a lb a day and was really enthusiastic- the second time the weight was really slow to go and I lost my enthusiasm.
I was thinking of just having an omelette for breakfast, a can of tuna for lunch and some chicken with a little lettuce for dinner so I'm totally minimal on carbs, for three days to fast track to ketosis. Will this work?

    I really need some support.

    Thanks in advance.

Don't be so hard on yourself, we all fall off the wagon from time to time. It's how you deal with it that matters. I would start Induction again and follow it by the book then move onto OWL 1 after two weeks. You also need to look at why you sabotaged yourself and try to avoid such situations. You can do this!

Not a good idea in my opinion.
Better to follow the rules and get most of your up to 20 net carbs from your veggies.

Thank you for your kind words. I'm just so disappointed by my will power.

Wish I knew why the last try the weight loss slowed down.

Every time you do this WOE you will get different results. Usually the more times you chronically restart, the harder it is to get the weight off. Hormones, age, medications also play a part in this. And your body is that much more rooted in a carb lifestyle.

If you want to take the weight off and KEEP it off, my best advice is:

    1) DO the book version of this WOE, not your own version. The good Dr had a reason for setting things up as he did, don't second guess him.

    2) You need to really look at where you let things slide. You have to want to be thin more than whatever comfort you get from food. Unless you understand why you lost track it is likely to happen again.

    3) You had better get used to the idea that you will be on a reduced carb plan forever. Even though your body may get thinner it is still the same body that was overweight. That means it will still react to all the old foods in the same way so therefore you can never ever eat like you used to.

    4) If you want to be thin you have to be willing to make some sacrifices. It may be that you do not always have a meal you are excited about. It may be that you eat a lot of the same stuff from week to week. Bottom line is, if you want to be thin, a certain amount of this is to be expected. Learn to endure a little monotony. Learn that food does not always have to be tasty. Sometimes you just need to eat what you are supposed in spite of what you WANT because that is the only way to keep on track.

Getting thin is a choice we make 100 times a day. You can choose to become thinner or you can choose to set yourself back.

Follow Induction (with the veggies, learn to eat them now.)

White knuckle it if you have to. You are worth the effort.

You only have to give it 2 weeks. If you haven't gained the benefits by then, you can decide if you want to continue or not. My guess is, you'll love the results and will willingly stick with this WoE.

But it is only 2 weeks. What do you have to lose?

    Good Luck,

    Thanks guys.

Can I be eating too few carbs?? I get scared about how much to include and therefore eat next to none.

Will this hinder my weight loss?

Thank you for your kind advice.

Yes you can eat too few. The vegetables indicated in Induction are not optional. They provide nutrition and fiber and help your losses. Read the book. Do it right for best results.

Put on your big girl panties, make a real commitment to yourself, read the book, and do this right if you are serious about wanting to lose.

I have read the book and go back to it daily! I was just wondering what the effect of less carbs would have!!!
