Avocado ?

Hi. I'm not really new to the board. I just haven't been here in a while, but I'm glad to be back. I've come back to Atkins after a long break. I'm on Day 6 of Induction and all has been going well so far. I keep waiting for the induction flu to strike but it hasn't yet. I have a question -

Is the 1/2 avocado we are allowed to have counted towards our 20 total carbs for the day? Or is it in addition to our 20 total carbs for the day?

Which type of avocado are you looking at? There's a Florida avocado--big, smooth skin---and its carbs are pretty high. The Haas or California avocado is smaller and the skin is bumpy---that one has the lower carbs, something like 3 net carbs per 1/2....
