Default Is this a normal amount to lose??

Hello all,

This is my second time around on Atkins and I started Induction on May 1st (Sunday) and have lost a total of 8 pounds since then. I have exercised everyday since starting, doing about 30-50 mins cardio everyday on an eliptical trainer and weight training as well. I follow the book quite closely monitoring out all my veggies, salads, proteins, splenda...........The thing is.....is it a BAD THING to be losing this fast?? It said in the book that if I'm losing too fast it may be b/c i'm losing too many nutrients and it may not be healthy. Could it be that I'm just exercising alot and that is resulting in a fast weightloss or just tonnes of water lost?? I feel pretty good...no lightheadness and I have lots on energy after losing all that SUGAR!!! I'm super glad to be back on this WOE and am hoping to be back in my old clothes again!!

The initial loss is water, so not to worry! I'd say you're doing terrific! Ain't it grand to feel so great??? And it only gets better! Great job with the exercise!! Take your supplements, drink your water, and celebrate your good health!

On average, a person will lose 5% to 10% of their desired amount during their first two weeks of Induction.
(for example, I had 70 pounds to lose and I lost 8 pounds, so I was actually 1 pound ahead of the game)

It would be helpful if you zipped up into your Profile, and put your stats in the signature box. Age, gender, height, start/current/goal weight will help us when you ask questions. :yes

good for you

you will see a slow down in your weight loss as you continue just because fat molecules are not stored with fluids like glycogen molecules.

I hope you have joined the CC forum and our exercise challenge too.

Happy low carbing
