| :yikes SUGAR!!.....well, that's okay, :hug just pick up where you left off, and if you crave sugar, grab a packet of Splenda....trust me, I was a sugar freak! This is my second day, and this morning I had a packet of Splenda with my one cup of hot tea, and it tasted just like "real" sugar! I love it! Give it a try. As for the cheese, just look at the carb intake per serving. Just remain at 20 or under carbs for your whole daily intake. You can do it! You have all of us for support! :hug |

| You've learned a very important lesson. Alot of us eat "automatically" so we have to make a conscious effort to eat properly from now on. About "starting over", you can never get the first 14 days back. So, there's no way you can "start over". Yesterday was Day 2 for you. Get back on the Atkins plan and today is Day 3. The one positive is that it takes 24-72 hours for your body to use up all of your glycogen, so your mishap might not completely mess you up.

| Thanks for the words of encouragement. I have continued onward! I thought I would share the "effects" of having that little bit of sugar...especially for the newbies. I continued the rest of my day eating properly, however by 10pm I was feeling hunger pangs and was craving sweets. I had thoughts of chocolate and brownies and I thought to myself, I can't be hungry, I ate at 8pm. So I started searching the boards and what I found out was astounding! Because I had sugar, my body released insulin and the insulin "ate up" all the sugar in my blood, which casued my blood sugar level to drop, which casued my brain to tell my stomach, hey you're hungry, hence the GROWLING. I never thought of myself as addicted to sugar...I AM! This little discovery has changed the way I look at sweets for good. I am so READY for detox. Anyways, so I took the advice on the boards and had something high in fat. I baked some cheddar cheese with hot pepper flakes...YUMMY!!! and had a cup of herb tea withOUT the splenda to meet my water requirement. Well I'm ok now. I sure won't be making that mistake again....and if I do, I know how to cure it...and now so do you! :nod

| Good for you for understanding and not giving into your cravings. Just a reminder, tea doesn't count towards your water intake. Only water counts towards that! |
