Atta girl!! The board wasn't allowing us to post for a long time this morning, so don't take it personally!! That's great, the 2 pounds..and what's even greater is that you totally understand the 5to10% thing, and you know that you are doing well...so you should be proud of yourself! :hug

Hey tex -- nice job! Look at it this way: 2 pounds a week is 104 pounds per year. That's a lot of weight! You'd be dead before Thanksgiving rolled around. I'm on week 2 of Induction & wasn't losing weight before this WOL like you were, and I don't think I've lost anything this week (unlike you, I can't stay away from the scale). I'd be thrilled with a 2 pound loss. Maybe we're not posting because we're all jealous! Congrats & Keep it up!

| Good job, really, in 7 days? 2lbs. Thats 8 lbs a month,, thats realistic and progress. MEASURE yourself if you havent. It will really help when you see those inches drop. I too, only have 22 lbs to lose so I am closer to goal which makes my progess slow as well, but I have steadily lost inches, even when the scale wasnt moving. Before you know it, you will be posting 10lbs gone, and then those 25-35 will really seem obtainable....

Effie-- I am sure I will slow down before Thanksgiving. I would not want to miss out on Greenberg Turkey(smoked amazing). I am sure you will be giving us great results by the end of your 14 days. Just the fact that we all are sticking with this WOE is an accomplishment (it is just hard to rember that without the downward scale) I really appreciate your encouragement. :hug

Sometimes it takes awhile for your body to catch up with what you are doing. Our metabolism has been so out of whack that it needs to start working again. For me it took a couple of weeks for it to say "Ok OK, I'm awake now!" :yes Look at this way...a pound is equal to a pound of hamburger or hot dogs...if you look at the package (or two in your case) that's how much you have lost so far...that's quite a lot! Also are you exercising and drinking lots (I mean LOTS) of water? This will make a difference. The more you exercise, the more fat turns into muscle and muscle weighs more. Plus the muscle will speed up your metabolism a ton. If you don't like to exercise there are many things you can do to get exercise in and not know it. For example, go window shopping and walk around the mall for a couple of hours, or park way out in the parking lot of your favorite store and take the long walk in. If you have an upstairs bathroom, take the stairs when you have to go. I'm sure you get the idea...but all of this helps. As you find the scale moving and moving, you will be more motivated and will be trying to find fun ways to get exercise in. Sorry about being so long winded. I wish you luck!

I do 1hour of Tae bo 5 days a week and I run 3-4 miles on the weekend. I have been doing the Tae Bo bit for about two months. I will keep going, I have made a commitment ( theres that word again, I am addicted!) and I will not go back to my old way of life. Thanks for all of your support.
