| Gum can kind of be a tricky area. I choose not to chew it because it reminds me too much of candy, and I don't want to trigger the sugar monster, so I carry around a small bottle of mouthwash that I use a few times a day. I've also used the breath strips because they are super powerful and don't remind me of candy in any way shape or form :yikes If you do choose to chew gum, I believe Orbit is sweetened with Splenda, and Blitz mints are as well (I think..I'm not 100% positive). One or two sticks of the other sf gums won't have a gigantic effect on your progress, but just watch to see if they trigger cravings, and of course, count them as 1 of your sweetener allowances. The whipped cream in the book is heavy whipping cream that you whip yourself. The canned stuff frequently has sugar added to it, so read your label carefully. Remember, just because a package or can shows a low carb count doesn't mean it's Induction or Atkins friendly, so always compare the label to the Acceptable Foods list. :yes |
