Default Inadvertently out of ketosis!

Day 6 induction, 6 pounds lost! Feel good (and look pretty good, if I might add!) BUT.....I had some burgers in the freezer that my son's girlfriend made. It crossed my mind to have son call girlfriend to ask what's actually in the burgers. Poor senile me, forgot to ask son to call girlfriend and cooked 'em anyway. I had just 2 bites (honest, only 2) and realized that they must have Worchestershire sauce (Akaoison :guns )in them! Of course, two of the first three ingredients in that are; Molasses and High Fructose Corn Syrup! My stick was barely pink this morning. Moral of the sad story is to always trust your instincts, if you didn't personally make it, don't eat it! Do I have to consider this cheating? I hope not, because up until then, I have been a very good girl and remain so still.
P.S. Burgers are in the trash can patiently waiting 'till Monday for someone to collect them.

good thing you caught that befoire you did too much damage.

Only you know if you think it was cheating or not. everybody sets their own standards for the cheatfree challenges. for some like me it is one carb over and any food not allowed for other being over on the veggies is okay just not eating high carb foods.

Happy low carbing.

Whether your stick is barely pink or dark purple, it means the same thing, so you were not out of ketosis. It's the same as a pregnancy test, either you are, or you aren't, there are no degrees of pregnancy.
It has to do with how much water is in your system more than anything.(the ketostix, not being pregnant..lol)

Good call on the burgers though...well done!

THANKS! I don't know which is better, not being pregnant or being in ketosis! Hmmm, nevermind, easy answer!

Hi Sillygirl,

Well done on staying on track and your loss so far. It's a sickly
feeling when this happens! I've done it with pork rinds, said 0 carbs,
so I ate them but they had sugars in them!! I realised after the bag was gone, 5 days into an otherwise clean induction :raving.

Well, as much as I love and strive to be in Ketosis (and love babies of course) ... not being pregnant would win hands down!

Have a good day,

Sally

Hi Sallyb
I SOOOOO did not mean to offend anyone about not being pregnant. Babies are great. Mine is almost 20! I hope you didn't take offense to my comment!

Wahh!! I feel your pain. I hate it when that happens.

I always feel like my boyfriend's mom is trying to "poison" me! She'll shove cake and fruit and spaghetti in my face... "want some?" and my boyfriend will say "no mom, she can't have that"

and she'll say "OHHH.. it won't HURT her. She can HAVE some. She can have SUGAR".. and she'll say it like we're stupid. It's like duh, this is Atkins. You can't have that or it messes everything up. She makes me annoyed. She'll say there is no sugar or sauce in a certain food, and i'll take a couple bites and ask "are you sure?"... and she'll be like "OH YEAH, there's Teriyaki Sauce in it."... so there goes that. Teriyaki sauce is full of brown sugar.

Can't trust anyone but yourself.

Hi Sillygirl

Absolutely no offence taken whatsoever by me!! I love them also
(but couldn't eat a whole one).

Having had two, one who is 17 years and the other 7 months… :yikes (surprise of my life).

Not being pregnant is mighty fine :nod!

Cheers
Sally
