Default Substitue for Coffee

Ok I confess I was a coffee-holic. It was my connection to the "grown-up" world outside my home. The one I used to visit every day before I was promoted to the esteemed position of MOM and never left the house. I would drink a pot in the morning, because besides being a warm creamy connection to the outside world, I also hated to waste it , and you can't make just one cup of coffee and have it be the correct ratio of coffee to water--yada--yada-yada. :raving I HAVE FOUND THE BEST SUBSTITUTE!!!!! A morning run! It wakes you up, gives you time alone, fresh air, moves your bowels (gross I know, but also another benifit coffee provides) basically everything you get from coffee without all of the "bad" stuff. Also, I am a Texan, if you run after 8am you may die of heat stroke. :mad2 Enjoy you morning

They say exercising on an empty stomach is best (great fat burner), plus you get the benefit of burning only fat due to the fact that we Atkineers don't have any glycogen stores. WOOT!

I am also a stay-at-home mom, but I just cannot get up for exercise (I prefer evening exercise), so I salute you (and I may be just a tiny tad envious!) :yes

OMG Your progress is awsome. I have a fear of cameras. You look great!!! I do my Tae Bo during nap time if I can coax my little guys down (If not they have play time in their room while I do it). I ran CC when I was in high school and just forgot how great it felt. When I run in the am, I feel like no matter what, my day will be a success. If I am tempted I just tell myself, "Do you want to waste that high you had this morning?" Plus the whole 93 degrees by 10am helps dictate when I can do things outside. Big girls like me get hotter faster!!--

Thank you! I find (although embarrassing) that posting my pics is motivating for me to keep going. And if it encourages new folks to give this WOL a good solid try, then even better!

P.S. How on earth do you keep toddlers in their rooms? Short of a gate, I can't keep mine in one place for two minutes!

Well, it is painted seven different colors for starters. It has a basketball hoop and a train table. And upon request, Star Wars is a Feature Film. (Show times are 11,2,5) JK. I decorate when I get bored. The deal is if you play quietly& sweetly you don't have to take a nap. Plus if they come in and do the work out with me I don't mind, as long as they stay out of my range of motion. I make them stand about 6 feet away when I am kicking, I know my range is not 6 feet, but I am clutzy sometimes. Now that summer is here we can go to our neighborhood pool and that really wears them out. (again in the morning 10ish, because it just gets too hot!! Also we avoid all of the "skinny" mommies that come to socialize and ignore their children later in the day) A gate-- no way mine would climb over. I make it seem like it is their choice. (granted who would choose a nap? but hey it works)
