Hi Jemima,

I have both! I think both work, but I'm not sure if it's a placebo effect - meaning I believe in them curing craving so it works

I was told that chromium was good for sugar cravings - by the chemist and GNC (health food store selling Atkins product and products for weightlifting). GNC told me that L-glutamine was mainly used for building muscle and I didn't need it. But I bought it later on anyway as DANDR says it is effective after a binge. I am taking / using both when I think I'm going to crave, just to make sure.

So my answer would be why not try either? I think Chromium is cheaper (in GNC that is)

Cheers

Not just that. Its an aminio Acid, so yes it will help with sugar cravings but also glutamine is crucial in nitrogen and protein metabolism. all good for proper blood flow to muscles, which will help you gain strength and endurance during workouts...and afterwards.

Just remember, since it can be synthesized from glutamic acid, glutamine is not an essential amino acid. its found in alot of the meats and vegetables we eat,so if you are not very deffecient in it to begin with, its not really worth it.

Unless you have bad sugar cravings at first...then its great!
