| We love the turnip 'fries' too...I cut them into fries, coat them in oil and lay them on a foil-lined baking sheet, and bake till done...AWESOME! |

| I am getting ready to make turnip hashbrowns now. Late breakfast this morning. I hope I like them, I tried the cauliflower recipe that was supposed to taste like a stuffed baked potato and about gagged the other night

| You know, I've had most veggies on the lists and enjoyed them but I've never tried something as simple as turnips. Do they have a radish taste?

| I made the turnip brown and they weren't bad. The first batch I burnt to black because I was trying to get the crispy (very unsuccessful..they were just black soggy mush) Second time I cooked them until they were browning and took them out. The sogginess wasn't great but they had a little crunch to them when chewing and once I put over-easy eggs on top and broke the yoke over them, mixed it together, it was almost like the real thing. The taste was very similar I think the only thing that stopped this from being a total success was my mind telling me I was eating turnips the whole time LOL I used to be absolutely anti-vegtable, you name it I hated it....I'm worked super hard on that one!
