| like cooked egg white, except more "tasteless" than that stirfry tofu with a bit of meat or chicken - it absorbs the sauce you are cooking it in remember to classify tofu as "soy cheese" and therefore limit to 3-4oz a day and part of your allowable cheese count - esp as you're still on the first 14 days of induction

| no, no don't say that Shay!!! I really love tofu actually and I eat it more than cheese. It doesn't make me stall like eating cheese does. If you use soft tofu, you can blend it up to make a thick soup. I've even seen it blended to use as a base for smoothies ie mixed with berries, splenda and ice. I haven't tried it because I have a preference for eating tofu as a savoury food rather than sweet If you use the firmer tofu (which also has more carbs per 100g), you can use it to stirfry with your meats and veg - or even just tofu and veg when you don't want to eat meat or fish. Sometimes when I'm in a big rush, I would throw a can of tuna/salmon/sardines in with a portion of tofu, some shallots, sliced chilli (jalapenos), a bit of sesame oil, zap till warm in the microwave and it makes a very quick meal/snack and it's full of nutrients!
