| Are you taking a fiber supplement? You should be getting some fiber from your induction veggies, but until your body adjusts to this way of eating, it may need some help by adding fiber in the form of a supplement. I used Sugar Free Fiber Choice when I started. Chewable and 4 grams of fiber. :nod Some folks use psyllium or other supplements. Also, make SURE you are drinking plenty of water. :capital 64 ounces, plus an additional 8 ounces for every 25 pounds you need to lose. Water is VERY important!! |

| Everyone has a little trouble when they start Atkins. The most important question is do you get enough water? That helps move things along. If that is not your problem and you have begun to feel uncomfortable. Dr. Atkins recomends psyllium husks daily(Pg.67 DANDR)

| Go to Walmart, Walgreens, Rite Aide or your local vitamin store. Get yourself some flax seed. It's ground up and looks like wheat germ. Take two tablespoons a day - I tend to mix it in my eggs, or add it to salad or make it into a bread or cracker. Works WONDERS! And, as added benefits, your hair, skin and nails will improve! |

| Don't be embarassed, we see this question about constipation come up every so often...it happens to most of us. :yes A glyceryn suppository can be really helpful when you feel you are really ready to go, but your body isn't co-operating. It seems to stimulate contractions and it works within 15 minutes or so. Great advice about the fiber, so make sure you include that in your diet. |
