Hey Adkins friends...

I am doing great on Induction (day 9) and wanted to share
something I do this time around that I didn't do before that
has really helpedd me "stay true!"

I got me the cutest little notebook from the 1$ store and
I write down EVERYTHING that goes in my mouth---also
I note if I exercised---and sometimes what is going on that
day too--(layed 2300 feet of water pipe Saturday-whew!!!!)

Please share ideas that are helping you stay on track--OK!

I don't keep a notebook, but recording everything on Fitday.com as the day progresses keeps me legal and on track!!!!

So does working out first thing in the morning. If I'm going to sweat like that and pant and strain, I don't want to ruin it by going and having a cracker!

I kept a food/event journal as well, and while I don't put in my foods anymore, I still put in events, weight losses, dropping down sizes, etc. It's been great to look back on it and see my progression.

Another thing that's helped me is to keep a few pieces of clothing that I used to wear and I put them on once in a while when I'm feeling like things are at a standstill. I tend to fret about how far I still have to go, and I need reminders of how far I've come. It's SO motivating!
The other day, we had company, and I hauled out a pair of elastic waist jeans, put them on over the clothes I was wearing and was able to pull them right up almost under my armpits! We had a great laugh over this...but sorry, no pictures...lol

I also have a few pieces of clothing that are too small, and I put them on once in a while as well, and it's really cool to see them loosening up, or adding them to my wearable pile, OR!! retiring something that used to be too small, but is too big now!

I enter everything that goes into my mouth into Fitday.com, including activities. I also am keeping track of all my exercise regime in the President's Challenge. I keep a record of my body measurements on a weekly basis, and take pictures monthly, to compare! All these things help tremendously! I love seeing results!

Talking Re: What's helping me the most....list yours!

When I was in Induction I never recorded my food but I joined the exercise challenge and posted every day there. It really helped me keep on track.
I think it's one of the most important aspects of this WOL

Actually... for me being addicted to this board and logging in at least once a day helps keep me on track - as weird as it sounds, but with the number of people I have gotten to know, and with the few I've buddied up, it really helps me stay on track.
Being very honest with my buddy whenever I stuff up has also helped a lot.
Keeping a journal in ADBB and voicing my thoughts - getting the spanks and chin-ups whenever I needed them has also been a godsend.

I used to record everything onto paper until I found Fitday. Now I enter everything in there.

I exercise in the morning as well. It does help to know that you just did all the work and now don't want to screw it up lol.

Keep your old clothes around until they are way too big and keep trying on clothes that haven't fit. It is so much fun! I was shocked when I started doing this, it's so motivating. I have t-shirts that I used to wear that actually fit me and now they are down to my knees and I wear them to bed lol.

Good luck to you!
