Default Back Again, but having problems HELP Please

I am returning to Atkins after a year and 30 lbs. I started induction almost 2 weeks ago. I immediately lost 7 lbs. I had foot surgery this past Monday and have been laying around on pain meds, but sticking to the diet religiously. My weight is back up 6 lbs. I am very discouraged and want to just quit. HELP!

GP, Welcome back on board, this time we are going to stick with it until goal righhhhtttt!!!???

Surgery puts alot of stress on the body, and as your body is in a healing process its going to be doing some funcky think, which is ok because its natural.

I would stay away from scale until you are able to get back up on your feet. Don't forget to make sure you are getting your water in, and get your veggies also.

Right now is week 3, most people usally either stop losing this week and their bodies are catching up. Time and patience my dear is what you will need.

I know its tough, I know it is, especially in the beginning. Go through the Before and after pics, read peoples testimonies, it will inspire you to continue the race. determine in your head that you are going to do it, for you, your kids and everyone else that is important in your life...

don't let it beat you.

Is this really true? I hope so. Could you please explain how this happens? Thank you!

Re: water and surgery. My experience when I had surgery is that I gained 7 lbs, when I didn't eat or drink for 2 days. The body went through trauma and was holding onto the water that was added to the body via an IV.

Listen to Fighting the Fight. It's always good to release fat, water, and just good old-fashioned waste molecules.

P.S: Weigh regularly, but not too often. During my weight loss and even now, I only do it around once every other week. Why eyeball the slightest little up-and-down fluctuation - it's like watching paint dry! Allow your body to accumulate a nice little surprise by waiting a bit longer.
