Default Jello & heavy cream questions

HI ALL!
Well I am gearing up to start on Thursday and went and did some shopping today. Here are my two questions...

The sugar free jello in my stores are sweetened with Aspartame. I thought that was not allowed. Is there a specific brand or do we use that kind?

I live in Canada and have not been able to find anything that says HEAVY CREAM.....but am wondering if whipping cream is the same thing. The brand I ended up picking up is called Nutriwhip. for 2 Tablespoons it has 24 Cal, 2.1 Fat, 1.3 Carb. There is sugar and modified cellulose listed in the ingredients though. Any advice??

Thank you so much!

Heavy cream and whipping cream are the same thing, so that should be an easy one. Get rid of the nutriwhip if it has sugar in it.

I don't eat Jello, so this is a bit of a stretch. Use un-flavored gelatin like knox, splenda (sucralose) and some un-sweetened drink mix package of your choice. kool-aid still comes in those little packages right? OR, eat something else.

Welcome!
Dave

Actually doesn't kool aid have sugar in it? Even those unsweetened packages do I'm pretty sure. I eat Hunts sugar free ready made jello cups made with splenda. You can get those in Canada

The kool aid I remember from being a kid were little packets and you added a couple cups of sugar and a bunch of water. I think the packets contained artificial color, artificial flavor and citric acid. No sugar though for the ones I remember sticking my wet finger into.

I KNEW IT!!!

LOL!

Gonna go have that chat with the kids.....AGAIN.

Elsie- Personal advice? Skip the jello and whatnot during induction. You can't starve the craving monster if you continue to feed it, and you'll be amazed at how much your tastes change and how your cravings wane if you dig in and just git 'er done

Thanks Everyone. Seems like I have the original DANDR book instead of the newer improved version...that could answer the confusion on the jello thing.
