| hiya Fist three days are always the worst, you just need to get used to it and the starvation feeling will eventually go away. if you are feeling hungry try a large glass or 2 of water until your next meal. good luck Steve |

| Hi. Snacks on Atkins should be high fat and protein, rather than high fat with a carb.. The fat-protein combo will satisfy your hunger better and keep you hunger free longer. So something like cheese or a boiled egg would be a better snack choice. By the way, you're allowed 3 cups of veggies for the day. Either two cups from the "salad list" and 1 cup from the "other list" or 3 cups from the "salad list". Make sure that you are getting that amount. ![]()

| There's absolutely no reason to be hungry at all. If you're hungry, EAT! If you're pushing your carb limit for the day, then snack on protein and fat (rolled up roast beef with some mayo, perhaps?) - Once ketosis kicks in, your appetite will decrease quite a bit. Drinking a glass of water before snacking and meals is always a good idea, but if you're hungry..EAT! ~Brook

| Thanks for that, but im just finishing my second litre and im still starving. Perhaps a walk or some ironing when i get home would help. I wish my kitchen had a lock or a door for that matter so i could just remove the temptation. Thanks for advice, your right the hunger will pass. and ill be left with a svelte physique in no time. ( fingers, toes, knees crossed)

| No no no no! If you're hungry...EAT!! Allowing yourself to be hungry isn't a good idea. It's something that will weaken your resolve as well as make it a lot easier to make some bad food decisions and will feed the whole "this is about deprivation" mindset-- which it's NOT! So, don't punish yourself unnecessarily ~Brook

| I too, agree. If you're hungry, eat from the acceptable food list. If for example you just ate a meal, and fifteen minutes later you were hungry I would try drinking some water. Often our brains translate dehydration to hunger. But even then after drinking water and you still felt hungry, eat! |

| NO wonder you're hungry! Is that really all you've eaten today? You need to make sure you are getting enough calories in...I don't know what a rocket is but 1 egg and some butter for breakfast would never be enough for me! I eat 3 or 4 eggs and some bacon or sausage and a couple of slices of tomato or some spinach! Small can of tuna, is that one of those itty bitty ones? If so you're just not eating enough!

| Yes, isn't it great to hear the words, "Eat more, Eat more"?! Seriously, you need to eat a lot more than what you're currently putting in your body. We don't know your weight or anything, but I'm guessing you should be having somewhere around 1800-2300 calories a day...it looks like you've had about 200! Your body will not be happy with you and you won't be happy with the results. As everyone said, eat when you are hungry. Eat from the acceptable list, but higher fat/protein snacks seem better to me. Here are some examples: pepperoni & cheese cold cut rolled around a little cream cheese pork rinds (cracklins) veggies dipped in ranch dressing So eat up!
