wedding day arriving soon please help

Hi all,

Well this is my first post so be gentle with me.

I am getting married to the love of my life in 8 weeks in mexico (im from the uk). and basically I want to look good for her in our photo's as this is the only time i will be doing this.

my question is, Im 16st at the moment but i am quiet muscular so i dont look 16st if you know what i mean, i do however still have the old love handles and man boobies. i want to get down to 14 stone or below in 8 weeks, is this possible???????????

I have done the atkins before and lost 11 pounds in about 3 weeks but i got board and gave into temptation so if anyone would like to help me I would be so so so greatful.

tips, info, recipies, and most important, how NOT to become board.

You'll find a lot of great recipes and menu ideas around here. Take the time to really dig through the board and the recipes. You won't be sorry. There's no reason for you to become bored at all. Really.

28lbs in 8 weeks is a pretty tall order, and while you may not (or may!!) hit that particular weight loss goal, I can promise you that if you hit it now and hit it hard - get to eating really clean, workout - lots of aerobics and resistance training - drink your water and take your supplements, you will be a heck of a lot closer than you would be if you do nothing at all.

Be sure to read the sticky posts at the top of each forum. There's amazing information in them that will help you and carry you through. Be sure to re-read your book too!

so what is an average amount of weight you can lose in 2 weeks, i know you cant be specific as there are a lot of factors but just a ball park figure

You can expect to lose between 5-10% of the total amount of weight you want gone during a good, clean induction.

28lbs to lose? = 3-6lbs in two weeks.

Honestly, being a man - you'll likely lose more, but the 5-10% is a safe and reasonable expectation.

Good luck,my fiance and me are getting married october 15th and have both started on atkins to lose about 20 lbs each before the wedding. If your fiance could help you on the diet, its definatly a plus. I know if my fiance wasnt on it with me, I am sure I would have cheated by now but if you have someone going through it with you, it helps. Good luck!
