Default 3rd day and still no ketosis...

...according to ketostix.

B:egg and butter
L:Mackerel salad with oliveoil and celery, tbs mayo
D:Chicken breat, 50g cheese, celery and lettuce , tbs mayo

S: 2 decaff coffees with max three table spoons cream for entire day and 3 splenda tablets

What ya think chaps what am i doing wrong???

well since urine is not soley a woman ordeal, we can def answer it hehe

Other signs will include appetite suppressing, "sweet" or "tart" breath, just to name a couple.

When you mention headache, you were thinking of the "induction flu" that people get sometimes, which is actually the body detoxing itself. Some people have it, others don't feel the side affects.

ask about any thing you want too. We have 3 stickies about those stix too in the FAQ section. You can NEVER turn any color on those stix and be in what Dr Atkins defined ketosis as because his def is burning fats for fuels and ketones are only produced in the human body when the fule burning process isn't able to proceed to finish because of a lack of O2 usually. Our bodies are very effiecentr and to keep that fat burning energy producing beta oxidation part going full speed and not backing up cause of a clog up in the acetyl CoA section of the burning it grabs the sitting around Acetyl coA molecules and combines then with outher small hydrocarbon molucle by oproducts and packages them up nice and pretty into a ketone to be shipped to other body areas to be burned for fuel.

If those other body areas are being gently used (other then your heart which uses more ketones the harder it works) they will gladly burn those ketones for fuel to make energy for themselves so your blood supply gets lower and less are availible to spill out as excess into your urine.

so don't worry about the stix if you are do your Atkins like your menu looks like you are in Dr Atkins defined ketosis and will be an Atkins loser.

What you doing for the mandatory exercise part of your Atkins BTW?

I have never ever used ketostix. I know I'm in ketosis because I'm losing weight, my mouth tastes icky, my pee smells strong, and I have energy.

I also never had induction flu, so that was never a sign for me of anything, either!

I'd say: keep doing what you're doing, make sure you are eating enough calories, drink a ton of water, get some exercise every day, and the fat will be melting off before you know it!

Got it finally. Ok.


Im asking about urine because its the one thing that i noticed has changed dramatically. Usually light yellow is not bright yellow verging on orange with little white floaty bits. Sorry to be so descriptive am just curious if its normal is all.
