| A couple of people have mentioned it recently. It may be that your body is struggling to adjust to the high fat diet. I would recommend that you try zantac or tagamet for a few days, and then see how it goes.

| Actually.. baking soda works for me and NO CARBS... plus its super easy to find. Just make sure to take it on a non-full stomach (as it causes you to burp) and mix with water... Atkins doesn't solve heartburn. I've had it plenty. Be careful that you're not taking too much vitamin C. Apparently excessive vitamin C supplementation can cause heartburn and I learned the hard way. |

| Atkins alleviates heartburn for a *lot* of people. Have you added anything in or eaten more than usual in the last 4 days? Additional stress? Anything?

| I'm not prone to it but I found that in the first few weeks I had some heartburn but it went away. I could swear that I saw it written down some place that this happens to some folks, but darned if I can remember where I read that. |

| Thanks for the ideas! I don't think I added a new food...in fact...no I haven't. Maybe paprika??? Could that do it? Brook...no stress unless you count that I stopped stepping on the scale about then so I could be surprised with Thur weigh in...LOL! Thanks again!

| The rare times I have experienced heartburn were because I wasn't taking in adequate water. Also, are you eating enough veggies? They seem to have a "soothing" effect on my system.
