Angry yeast reaction, induction flu, or allergies? BAH!

my face can't BREATHE! and on top of having a runny nose, it's coming out the other end too.

i don't think it's a yeast reaction, since this is my second and LAST and SUCCESSFUL time around, and i was completely fine, but maybe being on birth control changed the whole yeast deal?

i'm going to give it a few days, to see if it's either allergies or just induction flu, since i'm SO TOTALLY NOT WILLING TO GIVE UP MY CHEESE.

i worship at the cheese altar and plan to name my first-born gouda. having to not have my 3 to 4 oz of sharp delicious melt in your mouth orgasmic wonderful delicious cheese would be, as dr. phil puts it, a deal-breaker.

no cheese = = = 10 to life.

what do y'all think?

(((kiera)))

birth control *does* have some impact on yeast. Head over to the candida board...

You may have just regular flu or something similar, and of course it might be the cheese or something *in* the cheese. Some cheeses contain antibiotics, some contain nitrates, some contain coloring agents...

There's a quiz in the candida board.. it's one of the first posts after stickies. It gives you a rating that is an estimate of your body's symptoms of candida (not a diagnosis of course)... and one of the stickies talks about a "spit test" that seems to work. Check those out...

Actually, birth control can just make you retain water and gain weight in general. I was on the pill for years and never had yeast issues with it. however I do hold 8-10 lbs when on it (whether water or fat..it's a drastic difference). I also had far more cravings and more appetite.

How long have you been on induction and how long have these symptoms been around? these are things you must ask. You should also go through Dr. Atkins questions in the book regarding possible yeast problems and see how many you answer yes to.

The "Induction Flu" shouldn't give you a runny nose. It's called "flu" due to the general fatigue and "blah" feeling you have. But there is no fever, runny nose, sore throat, cough, etc. associated with it.

I would recommend that you see your physician and get checked out for whatever this might be.
