| Try adding a drop of oil of oregano to 8 ounces of water. It is a natural fungicide, and Dr A recommends it as something you can take as a vitanutrient in the book. Also, it does give water an appealing taste once you're used to it. Start out with a drop for every 16 ounces, and then end up with a drop for every 8. You can have up to 20 drops per day.

| Hello Friends, thank you for your advice! i know now why my first week hasn't been so successful, it was probably because of the the tofu. i might have some trouble finding the oil of oregano drops. I shall try this week to shop around for it. (stores close here on sundays). so i suppose this rules out those flavored Crystal Clear drinks with no sugars (i.e. just aspartame?) or are those allowed by any chance? Thanks again! |

| I've been known to have a glass of Crystal light every now and again. But your primary liquid should be plain water. 64 oz a day, minimum. Just get some bottles of water and keep refilling them. (For some reason, chugging from a bottle is easier than getting out 8 glasses a day....)

| Tofuboy, I have to ask if you've read Dr. Atkin's New Diet Revolution, version 2002, DANDR for short? Questions like these (and by all means, don't be shy to ask questions!) are answered in the book and it's an essential resource to have nearby. Dr. Atkins tells us to avoid aspartame, and in the book, on page 128 it gives a list of allowable sweeteners. |
