| Right! Being prepared is the key! It is so easy to be tempted when we're hungry! Try stashing away some legal foods in your purse. I try to make sure I eat right before I run my errands because sometimes by the time I get to the store I'm so hungry I'm mightily tempted by those free samples they put out! You'll get through this but learning what went wrong will help you the next time this kind of situation is trying to stare you down. I'm sorry you feel so sick and I hope you feel better soon sweetie!

| Thank you soo much! You & your pictures are such a inspiration to me as we have about the same start weight & close to the same goal weight so everytime I see your pictures I KNOW it is possible that I can someday be me again. If anyone sees you now they would NEVER believe you where ever overweight! Thanks again

| Thanks Yani...of course you can do this! Considering you were only on day five, I would suggest starting over right this moment. Induction isn't a punishment but a way for us to detox and get us started on the right path to healthy eating. The decision of course is yours but that's my suggestion.

| Yani, if you prefer eating food prepared at home, make planning ahead, cooking ahead, and disposable tupperware and plasticware your new best friends. In my last semester of university (21 hours a week, plus tutoring students, editing papers for free, writing massive papers, do required reading, and make the time for cardio & resistance training), this was unfortunately necessary since the school's food was just repugnant. Since I preferred to keep all of the food I prepared fresh, I made a point to cook every 2-3 days. It takes some getting used to, but trust me, the effort of preparation is well worth it!

| Atkins isn't one of those diets that we can cheat on. It is a permanent lifestyle. We don't want to do anything that will knock us out of ketosis. By refraining from heavily carb laden foods we are putting our body into a state of peace where we can easily resist our carb cravings. But we will never get to that place of peace if we keep cheating. It is only hard for awhile. I know that doesn't seem possible, but you have to take it on faith. Stick to Atkins for a month without cheating and you will understand what I mean. If you stay in ketosis and stick firmly to the foods on the approved food lists you will soon find that your powers of resistence will increase. Anytime we cheat we are giving ourselves the message that we don't matter. It is a killer for our esteem. It is self-sabotage. Love yourself enough to stick firmly to the acceptable foods. I go to Costco all the time. There is plenty of food there you can buy that is totally Atkins friendly. Wonderful meats and cheeses, awesome nuts, sugar peas, broccolli and mushrooms. You could have bought yourself a Atkins safe meal instead. Think about that seriously - no excuses. It isn't the kids, it isn't being busy, it isn't shopping. Cheating is kicking the stool out from under yourself when you need to be propping yourself up. Would you like to find out who you really are? The person you are when you aren't being a crazy carb addict? I assure you there are wonderful things to be discovered about yourself on the Atkins journey. But you can never find them if you cheat. |

Even if we have a 'slip-up' and eat off plan we really can't do induction from scratch again. Just carry on doing your 14 days induction like you did for the first 5 days
