| Keep drinking your water and eating as you should, take tylenol or ibuprofen and ride it out, my friend. This is one of the reasons why Dr. Atkins told us to schedule Induction for two weeks where you have nothing much else planned, because Induction Flu can really be a stinker for some people. For myself, I was still feeling yukky (headaches, face aches, body aches, extreme fatigue) on day 7 and I was starting to question it all, but I hung in there, and by the end of the two weeks, I felt back to myself again. If you are able to get out for walks, then do so, but other than that, take care of yourself, don't get discouraged, and keep telling yourself that it'll pass soon. |

| Some people find it a reassurance if they experience these symptoms as it means their body is de-toxing from unhealthy carbs and they know that soon (maybe after a week if not sooner) they will be well on their way to becoming a big loser

| Congratulations you have induction flu. Believe it or not this is a very good sign. You are doing something extremely positive for your body and it will just take a few days to made the adjustment. Have faith in the process and don't cheat. As for myself, I had no flu at all. My only symptom was a froggie in the throat. It disappeared in about six weeks. There is just no comparison to how much better I felt once I stopped gorging on carbs. I had put my body through **** for years, so you cannot imagine how relieved it was to finally be freed of the binging, stuffing, starving cycle. I finally have a loving relationship with my body. Hang in there, it is so worth it. |
