Cool Diet rootbeer...good or bad?

Hello! My name is Jennifer and Im on day 2 for induction. I hope to get more atkins diet tips from u all soon, but I really need to know if diet root beer is ok for induction. I love it to death and i can never give it up. How bad will it affect my weight loss? Im also pigging out on pork rinds as a snack, is that ok?

In 14-day induction, I'd say bad on the root beer, especially if it is aspartame. If it is Splenda, you are allowed up to 3 servings a day! So keep that in mind, read the label, and note what a serving is. You want to try for a lot more water, and save the sweetner for occasionally rather than the norm. You're trying to break sugar addictions and addiction to 'sweet'... hang in there!

If you're eating the pork rinds when you're hungry, then you're fine. You might get more satisfaction out of devilled eggs, though! Less sodium, healthier and far more filling!

If you must have a diet root beer, have a diet rite root beer.

And no more than one a day.

And try to go every other day.

Pork rinds are fine, but they have a lot of calories, so you may want to watch how much you eat in a sitting.\

You're gonna do FINE!

I don't have a popular viewpoint on diet pop, but I see it as chemical soup.

So I don't drink it. I don't drink any pop. Haven't for 6 years. Maybe a sip off a glass every 6 months, but never a full pop.

Crack the habit now! Your dentist will thank you!

I'd say go easy on the pork rinds; while permitted, the excessive sodium count tends to stall some. As for the Diet root beer (I happen to be enjoying a Diet A&W this very moment with some heavy cream), you are probably okay. Some prefer to nix aspartame altogether; if this is your choosing, I would avoid this soda.
