| Turkey (of course) Ham (if you know the sugar content) Veggies: Whatever veggie you like on the Acceptable Foods list. Some people like faux mashed potatoes made from cauliflower. Some people like faux mashed sweet potatoes made from pumpkin puree. Then there's the usual veggie suspects like broccoli, asparagus, Brussels Sprouts, etc. There are several Thanksgiving menu/recipes in the Recipe section of the board, and the Cooking Lessons section (in the Lesson's Forum).

| Mashed sweet potatoes is a made similar to mashed potatoes, but you use sweet potatoes instead. Sweet potatoes aren't re-introduced into Atkins until OWL Phase. However, pumpkin puree resembles sweet potatoes both in color and in taste. Pumpkin is also an acceptable Induction vegetable. So instead of using sweet potatoes, substitute pumpkin.

| Us Canucks are done with Thanksgiving, but here's a dish that would look beautiful on any holiday table and I'm going to make it tonight. http://users3.ev1.net/%7Efontlady/zucchini_gratin.html My thinking is to find new dishes instead of trying to mimic the old favourites, ya know? |
