Please, I Need Help....

OK so im on the Birth Control shot... and one of the symptoms is weight gain... but ive been on Atkins and been going to the gym 5 days a week... so i weighed myself yesterday and i hadnt changed at all! Same weight on which i started! How do you loose, will i loose??? Do i have to stop the shot in order to loose? Also where can i but the ketosis strips!?? SOMEONE PLEASE HELP...!???

Are you losing inches?

Fat loss is measured by loss of pounds or loss of inches. In fact, Dr. Atkins said that the loss of inches is represents the fat emptying from your cells. So if you haven't measured yourself, do so now.

Also, you might want to post your menues in the Review My Menu section for the mods and folks there to look at. Be sure to include amounts (ounces, cups, etc.)

My personal suggestion would be to go off the shot and switch to the Pill or the patch. I have heard nothing but bad things about it in terms of "lady" problems (spotting, decreased sex drive, dryness, etc) and there are plenty of suitable alternative oral contraceptives that don't have that as a side effect. PM me if you want to talk about it in more detail (I'm sort of an expert in this field!)

I'm confused you have a weight ticker that say you lose 30 pounds alread but you also have a restart 10/5

so did you just stop losing? or did you add the shot and stop losing?
What megs said about inches is so important. scales weigh total mass and you can lose fatmass add fluid and muscle weight and not have the sclae validate the great job you have done shedding the fat.

On page 262 in DANDR it says that hormones, including birth control can slow down or hault weight loss.
