| I have that issue, it's the expected post meal sugar. Drinking a large glass of water after the meal sometimes helps.

I usually drink water with my meal, but maybe ill try drinking a whole glass afterwards. Thanks!! Glad i'm not alone, evil sugar!!! |

| You had tomatos and bacon in that meal...I wonder if one or the other might be triggering some cravings for you? A lot of the cravings are habit though as Lauren said. As I've mentioned before, stay in the moment and talk to yourself about this as it's happening to you. It might be helpful to start a journal either here on the board in the journal section or a handwritten one so you can express how this all makes you feel and get it out of your system..It's often really helpful to go back and read about it later, and in a few months or so you'll be amazed at how much you've learned about yourself through all this. |

| I've had this problem too. But what I've found is that if I use more butter than I normally would, or if I slather on the mayo rather than just lightly cover the meat, then I end up not being hungry later on. When I eat canned tuna, I get the kind packed in oil, not water. The more fat you eat in the form of oil, butter, or mayo, the less hungry you end up being. I've found increasing the amount of fat doesn't seem to affect weight loss that much.

Thanks for all the advice, i did start a journal tonight i needed to keep my hands busy. Ill try adding more butter. I was afraid i was going over on my fat allowance, i like my ceasar dressing and that usually gets my fat percentage right up there. I always wondered about tomatoes, i know there almost considered a fruit because of their sugar makeup(something techinical like that). I was also addicted to table salt but since i started akins, i took it out with the sugars and carbs(bacon has been my friend since then). That has been really hard i used to salt EVERYTHING!!! but im afraid it will make me retain water. Maybe ill start eating all of the fat on the bacon too, that might help. Thanks again everyone!! |

| You're good to worry--tomatos aren't allowed on induction (as far as I know). You might want to watch them, or cut them out entirely.

To my knowlege tomatoes are acceptable under the other veggie list. Tomatoes are goooooodd. |

| It's normal on the first few days of induction to feel that way. From your siggie, it looks like you've only been on since the 13th. It happens to me too, so when I get that way I actually eat as much bacon as I want to satisfaction to quell the cravings and they go away! I think it's because of the fat content that slams me into ketosis. I usually do this around dinner time so that I'll sleep through the rest of the cravings, then they are gone by morning.
