Default Correct Amounts of Foods!!

I just wanted to post this for the people just starting Induction. Not2late made a great point in a different post, that please make sure you MEASURE the right amount. Use a baking tablespoon, not just a large spoon out of the drawer when you having salad dressing or mayo. Take a measured cup to get your salads, veggies, etc.... I was surprised the just grabbing a handful of salad out of the bag was quite a bit different than when I started using my measuring cup. Just a tip, hope it helps! Thanks everyone!!

You are right Sunflower. It definitely makes a big difference and you will see much better results when you measure.

I weigh everything now. A cup isn't always a cup but an ounce is always an ounce. I think being accountable is extremely important!

In the baking/cooking world there are two ways to measure food/ingredients: measuring with the standard cup/spoon measures or weighing it. Professional cooks tend to weigh ingredients.

The USDA nutrient database fortunately gives the gram weight and its cup/spoon measurement.
