Default how can i get more fiber?

hey all
i was looking at some of the past fiber threads and i was wondering how can i up my fiber intake while still saying on the induction plan. I have a cup of broccoli every day and 1 cup of leafy veggies...is there anyway i can add more fiber?

Psyllium husks or maybe the no sugar fiber supplements? And it seems you have room for more veggies if you so choose!

what are psyllium husks? how do u eat/prepare them.... i have room for lower carb veggies but i have found that most of the high fiber veggies are also higer in carbs...?? but i could have missed a few

Are you subtracting the fiber grams from the overall carb total in order to get your net carbs? If not, do that and you should be under 20 for sure.

Yes, we count NET carbs which means subtract fiber. Physllium husks are a dietary suppliment not a food; try wikipedia or just a google to understand.

If you concern is regularity, in induction you can add two tablespoons of flax meal to help.

I made the mistake when I first started of forgetting to take the fiber out of the carbs on veggies. Take Jicama for example, it is high in carbs, but also very high in fiber. If you eat veggies from Dr. A's list, you will not go over your carb limit. Try some of them, you will be surprised on how good they are.

What kind of leafy vegetables do you eat? If you limit yourself to lettuce for your "salad" vegetables, then your fiber intake will be very low.

Some of the veggies on the "other" list are higher in fiber than broccoli. 1/2 cup of pumpkin puree has 4-5 grams of fiber. An artichoke has a whopping 7 grams of fiber.

If you need to add psyllium husks to your foods for the 'fibre effect' I would suggest mixing them with some of your food as they are gross just mixed into a glass of water!!
When I had 'bathroom issues' on induction I mixed a spoonful of them with my chopped celry/mayo snack to regularise things.
