I doubt there is one person here at the ADBB who hasn't failed a diet or two in their life. This is why it is time to stop dieting. EAT. Eat healthy food and stay full all the time. If you do that, if you let yourself fall deeply into ketosis and stay there, if you eat meat fat and chicken skin and have some butter, you will get back on track. How you speak to yourself is really important. Self recrimination is not empowering - it will keep you cheating. Please speak kindly to yourself. How about - "I am a winner." "I nuture my body the ATKINS way and love myself completely!" Quote:
Living in an isolated motel at the edge of the ocean, I can remember feeling the same way. However, your best friend in life is you and she will always be there for you. Everyone at the ADBB will hold your hand. Really good hand holders here! The food that you eat on Atkins is healthy food. Its not just for Atkineers. It provides healthy choices for your husband and daughter too. I would ask your husband to give you solidarity on this. And if he refuses, then resolve to do it without his help. I did. Other people may never understand what is at stake for you. But you do. Chances are when he sees you are serious, he will come on board. Or not. Our health is our priority, and what other people wish to eat is not our business. If he brings home carbage you can ignore that food with the power of ketosis under your belt. Again, I know this because I did it myself. Ex-hubby dragged chips home. He was constantly eating rice. He would make fun of Atkins. I just ignored him. Be sure to eat and stay moderately full so you aren't digging around in the kitchen for something visually exciting and convenient to grab on to without thinking, "oh wait, i could have had "healthy food!." ![]() Be sure to make a meal plan including healthy choices for snacking when you get the nibbles. In my opinion, it isn't about the food its about love. It is about loving yourself with all your heart. Atkins is the best way to love myself that I have ever known. ![]() You can do this. Now eat!

| This board is perfect for getting started. Take advantage of everyone else's posted questions, not to mention the stickies. Trust me, it gets easier.

| I'm comin over, and I am LOADED with Atkins goodies!! Um, do I need to bring a pillow?? You will do fine. I have been in your shoes, and they aren't fun ones to be in. But the only one who can change that is you. I don't mean to sound harsh, but it is so true. I found that out when I restarted this WOE for the 10th time and vowed that was it. We will gladly hold your hand and help you through this. You deserve to be happy and healthy and energetic and all the things you want to be. And believe me, when you have done it, and you're past that, you'll be so proud you did. You appreciate it more, I think. I am so proud of myself for losing the pounds I have lost so fat. I was not this proud of myself when I lost more w/ diet pills! LOL You Can do this, and we are all here for you, holding your hand, cheering you along. Welcome to ADBB, YOUR personal group of cheerleaders!!! GO APOPSON GO!!! LOL

| Do you keep a journal. I found writing everything down, and adding up the carb values, kept me on the straight and narrow. If I started to deviate it became obvious and I vould adjust myself back on track. I used an exercise book at first, and at the start of the year bought a diary specially for Atkins and I write all exercise and food in it, plus any notes on things that affect weight loss (TOM, moods, stresses etc). This may help you. It's also good for review, if you have a few weeks withoput loss you can look back and see if a change in pattern has crept in, or if you are eating some legal food more often than before, which may be a stalling factor. Hope this is helpful. Remember, we are all doing this just one day at a time.
