| well congrats on the loss but there is nopthing rude about not eating a food someone serves you. sharing a meal is about the love and freindship you share not the actual food on the table. if you were allergic to that food would you have felt it rude to refuse to poison yourself with it? of course not. Value yourself and the work you have been doing taking control of your eating and don't have foods you shouldn't be eating. Next time call and ask abiout the foods tell them y'all are working on your health and volunteer to bring some dish y'alkl can share as part of your Atkins eating like a bif salad. Happy low carbing.

| I agree with 2big. I don't think anyone would mind if you told them in advance. |

| This was a good lesson learned for the next time you go for dinner at friends, wasn't it? Soomething similar happened to me on day 2 of Atkins when we were at friends. They served Shepherd's Pie and salad, so I had a big bowl of salad and just the insides of the pie, not the potatos. They were so excited for me that I was making a change and so apologetic about not catering to me better...lol I told them as long as there was salad and meat that I'd be just fine. I will usually ask if I can bring a salad and I also bring along my own dessert as well so I can enjoy something while others enjoy theirs. |

| good job on the weight loss!!! i completely understand how tricky it is to be out at friends houses for meals and not feel awkward....mine tend to look at me like i'm crazy and then make some loud obnoxious comments like "OH I'D NEVVVVVVER GO WITHOUT SUGAR, THATS JUST CRAZY" or "WHYYYYYY?!?!?" etc. etc. and it makes me look like a freak. Oh well. I will just keep laughing it off and then i will laugh even harder once I reach my goal weight!! |
