| Sometimes it takes a while for you to see results, even in the beginning. I had a friend who switched to low-carb living but wasn't majorly into junk to begin with. She only lost like 4lbs in the first month but eventually started losing more. I guess sometimes it takes a while, not really sure why. :0 I would suggest sticking with it because your body might really surprise you over the next couple of weeks. Remember, this is the one time when it's good to have nothing to gain and everything to lose. And you definitely get that with this style of eating. *L* |

| It takes time to see results. 4 days isn't even a drop in the lifetime bucket. Like Matt said, what did you expect to see in 4 measley days? You can't find a skincare routine to help clear up a few pimples in that amount of time, but you're expecting to see the fat melt off before your eyes?! Induction is a two week process, not a 4 day process. During a CLEAN induction period you can reasonably expect to lose 5-10% of the total amount of weight you need to lose - in your case, 1.5-3lbs. Add the exercise into the equation and you can likely expect to see less that that. Starting up an exercise routine causes your muscles to hyperhydrate. You will retain water while they figure out that this exercise stuff is here to stay. When your body figures out that it's not in a state of emergency, but that these new demands are going to be a regular deal it will release the extra water and whooooooooooooosh. You will, however, still lose inches even if the scale isn't moving, and that's the important part. I have yet to buy a pair of pants with a weight requirement in them, but they have a waist size requirement. 5lbs won't get you into a smaller size, but an inch off your waist will. As I've said a million times - it's the instant gratification mindset that got most of us a big butt to begin with. Be patient. This takes time ~Brook

| it's hard to judge yourself....well ok that sounded stupid but u know what i mean just stick to the plan and keep faith....it's really hard to wait for things to happen TRUST ME...every time i diet or start exercising i keep thinking of my long term goal and a few months in get completely discouraged and give up b.c it seems like soo long till i'll get there....here are some suggestions that have helped me 1)set mini goal and rejoice in those 2)dont' stay on induction for longer than u have to...i find the food choice sooo limiting and such that i'll end up just saying f'it and go all out carb...where as moving on the the different rungs of owl will let u expand ur choices 3)act like you would if u were at your goal right now! go out with friends, be sexy, start working on feeling confident and in controll now....attractiveness and happyness is all about attitude not about weight and looks....i have spent far too long waiting on the sidelines thinking...oh when i am thin i'll be able to this and have fun....well **** that! go out NOW and not only will this get u moving and ur mind off of how much further u have till goal...it will also help u love yourself which is KEY to any weight-loss sucess... hope that helps

| Well, I know I've complained a bit because I've failed. However, now that I'm spending time really reading the stories of other's. I am amazed and have more of an idea of WHY I have failed in the past. ONE of the biggest reasons was NOT seeing results as quickly as I want to see them. And, I'm going to work on that. So ... don't you dare quit!! You'll be about a week and a half into induction by the time I start on this coming Monday!!! And ... one thing I do know for a FACT is ... there will be a time, that the weight DOES come off. Be it two pounds or 20 pounds. It DOES come off. . . I'm almost slapping myself in the head because I've ALLOWED myself to quit! This is my "EMPOWERMENT WEEK" ... keep reading. Especially check out the before and after pics!! They are motivating me ... I might not even need to wait to empower myself until this coming Monday!!! |
