| Well, I have had sugar alcohols myself..and more than you had. I had sugar alcohols after induction. We had ONE of those almond flour sugar free cookies that our local store sells. Sugar alcohols still have impact, just slower than sugar itself. Alot of products subtract sugar alcohols from carbs..thus not counting the carb. It is still a debate, but you should probably stay away from it on induction. Did it affect you? I highly doubt it |

| I'll know tomorrow when I do my "pee strip" ... NO MORE !!! I think more than anything, I'm actually AFRAID that I ate it!!!! lol ... I just feel like terrified that I did something bad. lmao! I've NEVER been afraid of eating ANYTHING in my life. Is being afraid to eat something "bad" ... a GOOD thing??? lol |

| first we never can restart the 14 day plan if we mess up the 14 day plan cause you have aklready lost weight and shed your stores of gylcogen. just keep going and know your bofdy will be sightly off in the total weight lost so the charts in DANDR will not give you accurate info about metabolic resistance and your estimated CCLL ofr later in OWL. count all the carbs except the fiber not the 2 net and move on. if that total is below your bodies metabolic limit you can still be in ketosis today. Coitrina you have learned a very valuble Atkins lesson failing to plan is planning to fail. Where was your Atkins acceptable emergency kit? your emergency atkins acceptable foods? your eating before you went to avoid feeling hungry? We all learn either by believing the info in the induction forum or by experience like yours that we must assume we will be in some place that doesn't have atkins food availible and prepare for that. you should also inform the company HR folk that not having any nonsugar foods avail was a health hazard to anyone with blood sugar issues after you get the job.

| 2Big, I learned a very valuable lesson. I have the problem with not really feeling hungry...so I just forgot to eat before I went. I posted here before about how it is hard for me to eat every 4-6 hours, but I do anyway. I have found out that going almost 8 hours is the *witching hour* of my hunger pangs. I will make sure I always plan ahead from now on, or eat before I go. I agree about them not offering non sugar foods..that was just bull&*** They had 3 or 4 kinds of cookies, lemonade, and coffee. WTH? Not even water! If I had water, I could probably have sustained myself another hour before I got to some safe food. I should have brought my own, but left it in the car. It was just bad planning all the way around |

| Hey, no problem. Just dust yourself off and get back up. I think the 2 net carbs might not knock you out of ketosis, but one of the worst things about sugar alcohols is the cravings they instigate in your body...so be very very careful now. Good luck! |
