| You can measure ounces with a small food or diet scale. But typically for Induction, the only thing you measure in ounces is cheese. This can be done easily. Buy an 8 ounce block of cheese and divide it into 8 equal pieces by slicing the block in half, then slicing the halves in half, then slices the quarters in half. The book lists heavy cream and sour cream in ounces as well, but that's a semi-typo, because liquid foods and semi-solid foods (like butter) are measured in fluid ounces or in the measuring cups.

| I bet you could even get one at a used place (Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc.). I bought an electronic one (the geek in me) that goes back and forth between ounces and grams with a button, plus, can subtract the weight of the container you start with (put the container on, press the zeroing feature, and then start weighing the contents) It is a real blessing, I think.
