Question Serving Size of Pepperoni Chips?

Hi, saw someone asks about the serving size of porkrinds. I have been wondering the same thing about the Pepperoni chips. A serving on the package is 13 chips. Can anyone really stick to that number as a snack. The fact that you are losing alot of the fat when you nuke them tends to make them a less filling snack then when just eaten plain.

How many do you all eat when taking them as a snack?

I hardly eat pepperoni anymore, but when I did I only nuked the amount for 1 serving size and ate that. Remember: part of maintaining a healthy weight is portion control. Many of us are over-eaters and have no clue what a "normal" portion is. By learning these proper portions now, we will not only re-learn our natural hunger/satisfied ques, but also we will learn how to eat normally. As 2Big likes to say this WOE is like building a house: you need to have a good foundation.

Furthermore, the nutritional info on the package is only accurate for the listed serving size. If the product contains sugar (which most cured meats do), the manufacturer might be able to get away with listing 0.5 grams of sugar as "0". So two or three of those servings will contain countable carbs and they add up.

Also, pepperoni is notoriously high in sodium, much like pork rinds, so you want to limit your portion size for that reason alone.

A snack that I used to really enjoy (I rarely snack anymore) was to cube up some pepperoni, cheese and celery(or radish..some crunchy veggie), mix it together and then eat it a few bits at a time....like you'd eat popcorn.
It gave me fat/protein/carbs...a well rounded snack. Try something like that, and I'll bet it satisfies you better than pepperoni alone.
