| Flax is induction friendly but watch the portions.. If you go to the recipe section there are several recipes.. I think Killerbombshell posted a good one, you may want to send her a pm or use the search tool

| In the book, Dr. Atkins recommended a daily fiber supplement. We can choose from flaxmeal, wheat bran or psyllium husks. These are limited to 1 tablespoon daily. These fiber supplements can also be used to combat constipation and he recommends to start them at 1 tablespoon daily and increase or decrease the dose until relief is found. By the way, for constipation, Dr. Atkins said his preference was for psyllium husks. (Chapter 23).

| Dextrose is another name for sugar. If you look at the top 1/3 of this forum, you'll see a sticky thread called Sugar Aliases (and some other stuff). There's a list of the sugar aliases there. Bacon and sausage typically have added sugars because it's used in the curing process. The sugar content might be 0 or close to 0 for the serving size listed. So, if the serving size is 1 piece, then for that 1 piece, you can more or less count the carbs as 0. However, if you eat more than the serving size, you'll have to start accounting for those carbs. It's safer to overestimate than to underestimate your carbs. So you can either count the servings you eat above the serving size as 1 or 0.5 net carbs.
