Hello,

Its me again. I understand that calories matter to a certain degree. I believe I might have overshot my daily requirements by early afternoon already. Should I STILL have a light dinner if I get hungry tonight or will this stall my wieght loss.

I have read the book and it states that if you are taking in too many calories you might stall. But also if you kind of starve yourself or miss a meal that can also be bad for you. Im a bit confused. Forgive me if I am interpereting this wrong.

Sincerely

Disciplined1

DrA says that studies showed low carb dieters lost weight consuming a higher calorie intake than that of similar weight loss subjects on other diets. Too much protein and your body can create carbs and store fat. Provide primarily fat your body will use fat, more or less of it depending on your age, weight, metabolic resistance, activity level and other factors.

Here's how I look at that: A pound of fat looks like a pound of butter. If you eat too much that pound in your stomach will be burned instead of the chunk on your waist if the time your body takes to burn a pound is longer than the time period over which you ate it. But you will still be in lipolysis. Are you confused yet?

IMO don't worry about calories at this point, unless you are wayyyyy high (like in the 3,000). Once ketosis firmly sets in your appetite will plummet and you just won't consume that many calories because you'll be satiated.

During induction, if I was hungry, I ate. If you're overly concerned, drink a big glass of water and wait a little bit to see if you're still hungry. If you are, eat!

I have to agree. Forget the calories and pay the most attention to your hunger. Eat when you are hungry and make sensible choices. For example, if your stomach is empty and rumbling then don't put something like a bag of pork rinds in it that will just leave you hungry again very shortly. Eat some real food. Forget the calories for now and just break your bad habits

You only eat the amount of food you need to satisfy your hunger. So if 1 pork chop and 1 cup of green beans satisfies your hunger, that's all you eat. If 1 hardboiled egg, 1 ounce of cheese and 1/2 cup of cucumber slices satisfies your hunger, that's all you eat.

Ketosis/lipolysis is a powerful appetite suppressant. So you might not feel as hungry as you used to. That's okay. Feed your hunger only. Don't worry; you won't starve because when your body gets used to getting only the amount it needs you'll find that some days and some meals you are 'hungrier' than others.

yep listen to your body and if it is hungry feed it if it isn't don't unless you hit that 6 hr since the last feeding rule and even then you only have a small protein/fat snack with some of your veggie carbs.

the appetite suppression will help you cut back your eating to the amount your body needs and the inefficient manner in which the human body burns Atkins eating as opposed to USDA eating you will find you are losing weight consuming higher caloric intakes then you were on your previous high carb diet.

Happy low carbing.
